DAVIDE FARACI
Davide Faraci (Italy, 1988) is an Italian filmmaker, living and working between Barcelona and Palermo. He studied documentary filmmaking at the prestigious Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión (EICTV) in Cuba and the Instituto de Cine in Madrid, Spain.
With a focus on existential narratives and evocative visuals, Davide’s work delves into the contradictions of life and the intricacies of human emotions. Blending introspection with a surrealistic perspective, he seeks to capture the delicate interplay between the inner and the external worlds.
In addition to filmmaking, Davide explores photography and music production, enriching his creative vision and artistic expression. He has performed with his electronic music trio, Apocalypse Vagina, at three music festivals in Italy in 2023 and 2024.

The Cake is a short film written and directed by Davide Faraci and Madrid-based artist Gianluca Lattuada, exploring the theme of unrequited love.

Luz y Amor – 2024
Luz y Amor is a documentary directed by Davide Faraci about a shelter for homeless people in Cuba, near Havana. Through the work and story of Rosita, the center’s nurse, the documentary shows how love and care can offer a new chance at life to those who feel hopeless.

Hermitage is an experimental surrealist short film created by Davide Faraci and Gianluca Lattuada in July 2024 in Madrid. It delves into personal alienation and the inner workings of sentiments, ambitions, and emotions.

Apocalypse vagina
Apocalypse Vagina is an electronic trio formed in 2023 in Alcamo, a town nestled between the sea and hills, halfway between Trapani and Palermo, composed by Vincenzo Giangrasso, Davide Faraci and Francesco Palmeri.
From gliding flights suspended on a tightrope between chill and big beat (Breathe), to phrases that nod both to psychedelia and acid house (Wake Up and Run), passing through ambient-new age tracks that wouldn’t look out of place on the Blade Runner soundtrack (La fine), Apocalypse Vagina moves effortlessly across vast and eclectic harmonic landscapes.
